Im a Explorer.

My main value is Discovery- Characterisation: Explorer
Who am I? How far, how fast can I go? What is over there? What will happen if I do this? Life is a voyage of discovery, an adventure, an experiment.
You are generally full of spontaneous energy, new ideas and possibilities. It may mean taking a risk, but if the feeling comes to you, you are ready to leave it all behind and follow your impulse wherever it may lead. You cannot commit totally to decisions that could tie you down, lock you into routine - there must always be doors that open to change and new directions.
Your creativity is in the breaking of rules, conventions and stereotypes. The discovery of new and exciting people/music/ideas/films/places/ways to do things. Friends are most probably very important in your life, and you like to work and play in a group. What you respect in others is originality, a real point of view, true to itself, attitudes that don’t compromise. And imaginative, clever, ambiguous, somewhat extreme or sometimes even slightly cruel ways of expressing an individual take on reality.

My secondary value is Enlightenment-Characterisation: Reformer
Independence is your way, you make up your own mind and, ideally, manage your own time. In every way you need room to stretch and grow and move about. Freedom is not just an ideal. It’s a basic necessity. All rigid restrictions are irksome to you, be they hierarchies and bureaucracies, accepted ideas, roles, rules and routines – or tight collars and small windows.
Luckily you are sufficiently inventive and versatile to overcome these restrictions and find the freedoms that you need. What about those who are powerless to do so ? You may feel yourself drawn to active involvement on their behalf - your search for enlightenment naturally includes the desire to set the whole world free.
More than others you are aware of personality in the world around you, which connects with a feeling for relationships ... for instance of colours, shapes, or tastes. The result is a very personal expression, whether it happens in the kitchen, the garden, at work or at play. Generally open to experience., you are attracted to intelligence, to people and things that exhibit unique, authentic and unexpected facets.

My Weeks Media Consumption.

Wednesday
I watched a music channel when I came in from school. I realised how much I hate the adverts you get on them, there all really long and cheap, insurance adverts with terrible actors- and I really don't care about cheap car insurance. Also, I don't mean to sound insensitive but, the charity appeals which are always on there last forever.
I sat and watched some of the Football with my brother, which is unusual. Strangely, I enjoyed it. England actually done well and it helped not having my dad screaming at the TV screen every 2 minutes. Maybe I'll watch football again one day.
Thursday
I actually watched a different channel from E4 for the majority of the night. I watched "What Katie did next" and then "Katy Brands Big ass show" which are two programs I don't usually watch. I can't really keep up with the whole Katie, Peter thing, but to be honest I'm not that bothered. I do enjoy her program though, shes quite funny. Katy Brand's funny too, which I guess is the point of a comedian, it was the first time I've ever watched that program, it did make me laugh.
Friday
OMG! My chunky just got funky. :D I love it. I have to say it whenever I see the adverts around.
Saturday
I really love the X factor, well its mainly the auditions I like, some of them are absolutely hilarious. I was watching the Xtra factor and the moves on this one man, I think he was attempting to fly. (It didn't work. He fell over.) It was very entertaining though. One thing I don't like about it though is the sob stories, there annoying, I just love the weirdos you get on there are totally off there heads.
Oh I like the new Cheddars advert. Ive just seen it. It reminds me of the creme egg ones though. I have to watch friends at least once in a day but the one that was on TV today was a stupid cheese-o, Christmas, flash back one. Them sort of episodes are all a bit to nice and sweet for me.
Sunday
Home Alone 2 was on TV today, Its a typical Sunday film. I do like the film but it really frustrate me at times, it would never happen. Surely No-one would let a 10 year old on a aeroplane on his own and without his ticket. It is ridiculous. The boy has awful parents too, its bad enough to leave him behind one year when you go on holiday, but then doing basically the same thing the next year, you just wouldn't do it. Plus how many films can they make about the same thing, theres 6 of them!
I was listening to radio one and they played Paramore covering use somebody in the live lounge, I really liked it. I like the song anyway so its just a little bit different.
Monday.
There was a really weird 40s episode of One Tree Hill on, it was quite cool but I didn't really understand what was going on. And the end I realised it was a dream but I still didn't quite see the point of it. I've really got in to One Tree Hill since the new series started I could never really get into it before though. Chad Michael Murray helps alot to the appeal of the show too. :)

My first post.

There isn't a lot I'm interested in to be honest my life isn't the most exciting. I'm a little bit addicted to T.v so that's one of the reasons I took media as a option. I read magazines from time to time but I'm not really that interested in celebrities life's, I prefer the real life stories, I like the fashion bits too although I'm not that fashionable myself. Also I love the themed fashion shoot you get in magazines. I get bored easily and so sitting looking at a board and listening to a teacher drone on about a boring subject aggravates me at times. I like being creative although I don't always have great ideas.
I think I will be good at the more practical side of Media studies rather than the writing part although I'm quite interested to learn about the different parts of media.

Three things about me:

  • I takes me a while to feel comfortable around new people. I can't just have a full blown conversation with anyone.
  • I don't like cheesy things. I can't stand Disney channel or anything to do with it.
  • I love channel 4 and E4. I watch them all the time I only really change the chanel to watch the other one. (I'm a bit sad at times)
